Fast. Smooth. Efficient.
After 10 years of development, Jet Plain is proud to provide the RoadRunner as the premier machine for routine road maintenance. Success with the RoadRunner is driven by technology backed by a design to maintain roads better, faster and cost effectively.
Speed of Operation
The RoadRunner can be operated at speeds up to 20 MPH. Typical speed is 10- 15 MPH, and can cut man-hour time in half by doubling miles covered in an hour when compared to a maintainer.
Timing
When road shoulders are finally dry enough for a maintainer; traffic lanes are very hard, like concrete. The RoadRunner planes quick, treads light and can have many miles of road covered in a short time.
No Gravel Windrow
By design, a maintainer has to push the gravel pile across the road. This might take two to three passes, leaving a windrow in various places on the road, forcing traffic to straddle or plow through. With the RoadRunner, there is no windrow and creates a safer, more efficient operation.
Saves Gravel
Most of the gravel ever put on the road is still there! Typically, it’s been driven down to the ruts and packed into the roadbed. Many have noted that if the road is worked in proper conditions, allowing gravel to be worked to the surface and replaned, the amount of gravel that reappears is great and would amount in a significant reduction in regraveling.
Repair and Replacement
The only mechanical item that wears out are the blades, but there is little cost for this. Most maintenance yards have old grader blades which can be recycled to fit. Any blade with standard patterns and over 6” wide will work with a RoadRunner.
Maintenance
Tires, wheels, axles and bearings are all standard and if needed, are available at your local implement dealer.
No Technical Skill
After a brief introductory session, almost anyone can operate the RoadRunner.
Solid Investment
Every part of the RoadRunner is over-built and almost indestructible and can last 20 to 30 years!
